Tutti i nostri insegnanti d’inglese sono laureati, preparati e qualificati per l’insegnamento dell’inglese a studenti di altre lingue.

La maggior parte del nostro corpo insegnanti e del nostro staff ha inoltre conseguito ulteriori certificazioni per l’insegnamento della lingua inglese o master in materie attinenti alla linguistica.

Barney Sandell,
Director and Teacher
BA (Hons.) in Modern History from Oxford University; Diploma in Management from University of London (Birkbeck); Trinity College London Diploma in TESOL.

Barney has been involved in the world of English language teaching since 1996 first as a teacher, then as a teacher trainer and finally as a manager and director. He is regular speaker at international conferences and also writes teaching and teacher training materials. Originally from England, Barney has worked in both Latin America and Europe and has lived in Italy for more than seven years.

Interesting fact: Barney comes from a very international family and has relatives living in five different countries. ^


Arianna Maccaferri,
Sales and Marketing Manager
Degree in Foreign Languages from Bologna University, Diploma in Gemmology (Gemmological Association of Great Britain)

Arianna oversees the Front Office and first started working in language schools in 2002. She is an enthusiastic language learner herself and can speak English, Spanish and German. She also spent four years living and working in London.

Interesting fact: Having specialised in gems while living in London, Arianna can identify precious stones. ^


 


Billy  Stevanovic, Teacher
BA in Tourism from University of Western Sydney; Cambridge Certificate in TESOL (CELTA)

Billy has worked for British School Vicenza since 2010 and in that time has had the opportunity to specialise in several types of teaching from international exam preparation to teaching young children. Billy’s from Sydney, Australia, but her family originally came from Serbia.

Interesting fact: Billy loves cooking cakes, especially ones that are quick to prepare! ^


Lois Marshall, Teacher
BA in Fine Art from Leeds College of Art, Trinity College London Certificate in TESOL

Lois was one of the outstanding candidates on the teacher training course at our partner school in London and his since become one of our most creative teachers for both adults and children. Originally from Lancaster in the north west of England, Lois spent several years in London working in the world of art and theatre before becoming a teacher.

Interesting fact: Lois helped organise artwork on the London Underground system. ^


Caroline McAuley, Teacher
BA (Hons.) in Tapestry and Construction from Edinburgh College of Art, Cambridge Certificate in TESOL (CELTA)

Caroline’s wide professional experience makes her an excellent Business English teacher and since 2010 she has also specialised in teaching children. Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Caroline spent time living in Scotland, India and the USA before settling in Italy.

Interesting fact: Caroline is also a highly trained yoga and tribal dance instructor   ^


Lara Pierro, Front Office
Degree in Sociological Science from Padova University

Lara has worked at the British School since 2011 and helps run the Front Office, focusing especially on organising international exams and bookkeeping. Lara is also a specialist in our courses, having studied three different levels at the school as well as preparing for IELTS at our partner school in London.

Interesting fact: Lara is interested in German and Russian Literature and her favourite authors are Kafka and Tolstoy. ^



Rossella Schievano, Front Office
Degree in International Politics and Diplomacy from Padova University

Rossella has worked at the British School for four years now and helps run the Front Office, focusing especially on the organisation of children and adult courses. Rossella speaks excellent English and has also worked at Vicenza trade fair.

Interesting fact: Rossella is very interested in languages and recently did a course in Modern Greek. ^
